Description
Delray 14 ft. x 10 ft. Outdoor Patio Pergola
The Backyard Discovery Delray 14 x 10 is a freestanding cedar pergola designed to create a generous outdoor dining, lounge, or entertaining area with a clean transitional look. Its wider purlin roof provides more shade than a typical open trellis while keeping the structure airy and open.
Key Features
- 14 x 10 ft. nominal footprint with approximately 140 sq. ft. of coverage
- 100% cedar wood construction with a light brown stain
- Wide purlin roof design for increased shade coverage
- Pro-Tect™ tested for winds up to 100 mph when anchored as directed
- PowerPort™ with 3 electrical outlets and 3 USB ports
- Durable resin feet with concealed concrete anchoring components
- Pre-cut, pre-drilled, and pre-stained components with BILT® guided assembly
- 5-year limited manufacturer warranty
Construction & Outdoor Use
The Delray uses a cedar frame, robust posts, structural beams, and metal hardware for long-term outdoor use. Backyard Discovery states that this design provides a larger interior area and wider purlin spacing intended to increase usable shade while preserving an open-air feel.
The patented PowerPort™ provides three standard electrical outlets and three USB ports for compatible lighting, speakers, charging, and other outdoor accessories. It requires an external power source, which is not included.
Assembly & Site Planning
Install the pergola on a suitable level surface and permanently anchor it according to the current Backyard Discovery instructions. Confirm clearances, local building rules, permits, HOA requirements, and any recommended cedar sealant or maintenance before assembly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are the listed dimensions the usable space between the posts?
Not necessarily. Post spacing, roof overhang, foundation points, and usable interior area can differ from the overall dimensions. Verify the dimension diagram and manual for this exact model.
Does this structure need to be anchored?
Yes. It must be assembled and anchored according to the exact model instructions. Any published performance rating depends on correct installation and the required foundation and anchors.
Can it be installed on an existing patio or deck?
Only if that surface and its supporting structure are suitable for the loads and approved anchoring method. Concrete thickness, reinforcement, edge distance, deck framing, condition, and local code may matter.
Where can I compare planning considerations?
Start with the Outdoor Structure Planning Center, then follow the current manual for this exact product.
